“Shattering Barriers,” which will be on September 14, 2017 at the Sheraton Riverwalk Hotel will be MacDonald Training Center‘s (MTC’s) major fundraising event of this year.
Through event sponsorships and the funds raised, each year MacDonald Training Center provides employment training and placement services, in home residential supports and day activities to over 500 individuals with disabilities in our community. Each year hundreds of families turn to MTC as they seek a future for their children graduating high school with special education diplomas and little chance for employment. Without partners that share our vision, and fundraising events like “Shattering Barriers,” MTC would be unable to offer services in equal response to the demand in the community.
There are many levels of sponsorships available; all include a table for 10 guests at the elegant, multi-course dinner. The celebration will begin at 6 pm with a cocktail hour and silent auction.

Thank you to our Wonderful Sponsors!
“The Table in the Park” is a unique outdoor fundraising dinner to kick off the Holiday Season and support “EXCEL” MacDonald Training Center’s new job training program in technology. This new program is critically needed as it has been designed to meet the skills and capabilities of young adults on the autism spectrum, many of whom have Special Education diplomas and little hope for employment.
MacDonald Training Center is collaborating with the City of Tampa, and the Tampa Downtown Partnership to present “The Table in the Park as part of the opening of the annual Holiday events in Curtis Hixon Riverwalk Park, including the Ice Rink, and Winter Village pop up shops. Following the catered, sit down dinner under the stars there will be a free outdoor movie provided by Tampa Theatre.
